Not having the internet at my house is putting a cramp on my "onlineness".

Wedding has been moved to Dec. 31'st so I will be married before boot camp. The Air Force offered me way more to join them assuming I can pass the PAST for Pararescue Jumpers. So I've spent the last 2 weeks trying to convince my body it enjoys working out. My test is the last week in November.

http://usmilitary.about.com/cs/airforcejoin/a/parapast.htm

I'm a bit concerned about the swim because I've never swam that far and have no idea how long I will do it in. I'm working on getting a membership to the YMCA this month to start working on it.

I can already pass the other events. I've got to sign up for 6 years to receive the bonus, but I was planning on this being a career anyway, so I'm not too worried about it. I'm really looking forward to the training. I'll be leaving for Boot Camp in Feb and then start "The Extended Training Day" immediately after. It's 10 weeks of them trying to make you quit. If I make it through that I become a PJ apprentice and start the real training. It takes about 2 years to become a PJ after that.

Lose my car next Tuesday, I'm doing a voluntary repossession. I can't afford to keep it anymore. I'll be responsible for the difference between what they sell it for and what I owe, but it keeps my credit from being completely destroyed.

I went to Oxford this weekend and my car got towed from a super bullshit reason. The towing company did $1,222.65 in damage to it. They acted kind of like cocks about it and tried to deny that they did it, but after putting my foot down about it they were quick to pay the body shop. I expected way more of a hassle so I'm happy about that. It goes in Thursday for a new front end. They about died when they found out how much it was going to be. He thought he was going to get off with it being a few hundred dollars, lol.

I had a great time seeing Robert, Christine, and Shandi again. But Oxford just isn't the same. Getting blasted, scrounging for a place to sleep, losing my car, sleeping on a couch and not having a place to brush my teeth the next morning isn't fun anymore. I think it was fun when I was 20, but not now. I'm getting old.

Other than that everything is going well. Love my fiance, can't wait to get married. Can't wait to leave for Boot Camp and start that. After Boot Camp we are going to get Tam moved to New Mexico where I will be doing the majority of my training after The Extended Training Day and SERE Indoctrination. It will take me 6 months are so to get there, but that way she can get Phoenix in school and she can find a job and get set up. I want to minimize how much bouncing around I put them through.

Last week there has been mention that Warners might be looking at Todd McFarlane's "Twisted Land Of Oz" line of action figures as the inspiration for the movie. The movie will be produced by McFarlane and Basil Iwanyk.

Empire Online recently spoke with McFarlane to try to clear up some of the reports. There's no confirmation that the movie will actually begin production next year. The script is on its second draft (apparently the first wasn't "sexy" enough). The first draft had the story centered around Dorothy's granddaughter. McFarlane's not sure if that element will remain. Reports have stated that the movie will film in Britain but McFarlane said it really depends on the budget and how much confidence the studio has in the project. McFarlane hadn't heard the rumors of Dakota Fanning as Dorothy. Looking at her action figure to the left, that doesn't look like a good fit. McFarlane said he'd be happy with "whoever will get the most people in the seats." Will it be as "twisted" as his line of figures? McFarlane thinks his line might be "a little scary for Warners to embrace."

If you read this you're invited.

We finished up the pipeline last week. I'm fairly excited. I'll obviously miss the paycheck but not so much the job. I'm about to turn my packet in for Coast Guard OCS. I FINALLY got everything together. Since there is only a 17% acceptance rate I'm a bit worried about getting in. There are lower requirements if you come out of the enlisted ranks though. So if I don't get in I will enlist and try again next year after I have some experience in the CG. According to my recruiter most officers start enlisted.

Until that kicks off I'm working part time at Red Square Clothing Co. www.redsquareclothingco.com . I was doing some design work and maintaining their email database and sending out email advertisements for them. One of their employees quit so I stepped in.

It's a fun job since I have things like A/C, a toilet, no bugs, and no mud. It will be difficult not to buy clothes all the time now that I work here.

I'm hoping to have to time to start training again with Team Outlaw down in Brookhaven. It would be nice to get in shape again.

I wish I could have gotten a vacation this summer. I've failed at getting to go one one the last 3 years.

Kyle Manyard completed a 2 year journey last night to have his first MMA fight. He doesn't have arms or legs but despite that he became a stand out wrestler in high school. He decided 2 years ago he wanted to fight in MMA. Everyone told him he couldn't. Guess what? They were right.

Excuse me while I have NO sympathy for him. Seems he had a good time though, but I'm still loling about him wanting to try again. What is he going to do?! How is he going to win a fight?

I don't want to come off like I'm whining, but I am going to for this morning.

I was in the dirt at 7:00am, no lunch and got off at 7:30pm. Where we were working at they had to bus us in on a short old school bus(no trucks were allowed on this part of the Right of Way). So after getting off the slow bus took an hour and a half to get us back to our cars. Got in around 8:45 took a shower, ate, called Tam and crashed. This morning came far too quickly. They keep saying it gets easier, I hope so. It wouldn't be so bad if the people I worked with weren't kinda stupid. I mean, they are all perfectly nice and pleasant but it is a lot of "Fuck Obama, he is a nigger" and "Why do I get less unemployment than someone that lives in California", etc... Just really southern ignorant people. If I don't act dumber than I am, no one talks to me. That is the most unsatisfying part of my job is just acting dumb and keeping my mouth shut. Every time I start to get annoyed I just think about the paycheck, it helps a bit.

On that note I'm buying a Datapad...errr...Kindle next month I think. Me and Tam want one. I just wish they were a bit cheaper.

Tam is moving down tomorrow, w000! We have the house all set up. She's going to go ahead and bring Phoenix down too. I'm fairly excited. Even after one week I'm starved for social interaction with someone my age.

And she likes to cook. I like to eat. Match made in heaven(or Okcupid).

I am now an official track hoe oilier for Local Machine Operators Union 624. I'm not sure really what that entails but i get paid $20.03 an hour to do it and 72 hours a week in which to learn.

Today was my first day. I got there at 6:30 and was told to go wait at the Safety trailer for orientation at 7:00. At 7:00 I watched a 15 minute video on the environment. Then went outside and waited. At 11:30 my group was taken back in to watch a 30 minute video on safety. Then we went to fill out our applications and for me to fill out my union paperwork. Though it was only about 10 minutes worth of actual writting it took until 1:45 to finish up and get it all checked.

Then off to Pearl I go to pee in a cup. So did all 96 other of the new hires. The line was out the door. I amused my self sitting next to the Mexicans that were looking at a .pdf playboy on someones iPhone. My peeing went uneventful.

I got home around 4:30. So it took 10 hours to watch 45 minutes of video, fill out 10 minutes of applications and pee in a cup. I've been paid far less to do far more.

Also, Flannel has gotten me watching Christopher Hitchens video's on Youtube. I'm jealous I couldn't go with him to hear him speak today.
